This is an entirely new race location! Rich in heritage and hospitality,  Louisa KY will host the start and finish of the second race in the Unbridled Series. You’ll be exploring the hundreds of acres of Wildlife Management Areas surrounding beautiful Yatesville Lake and gain some ground along the 30+ miles of multi-use trails throughout the Park.

+ MTB Skills Clinic: We’re excited to bring on-board Meagan Shetler, a certified coach from KyMBA, for a Friday evening session on mountain biking! She’ll be conducting an hour long Skills Clinic specific to our Adventure Racers, covering key techniques to improve your mtb game! See details below.

LENGTH: 9 Hours
DISCIPLINES: BIKING | TREKKING | PADDLING
(Bring your own canoe or kayak or we have boats available to rent. Just choose an option when you register)
WHERE: Yatesville Lake State Park, KY – Map

WHO: Solos & teams of 2, 3, or 4
REGISTRATION: $100 per person. Closes July 31.
THE COURSE: Who knows? Nobody has ever raced here before.

FRIDAY: MTB Skills Clinic (Meet at the Yatesville Lake State Park Marina – Picnic Shelter: Map Link)
Session#1: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Session#2: 7:00pm – 8:00pm


SATURDAY:

Race Check-In: 8:00am – 9:00am (you’ll receive your maps when you check in)
Pre-Race Briefing: 9:15am

Race End — 7pm (awards/soupbean & cornbread dinner)


MTB Skills Clinic

  • Cost is just $10! Choose your session time when you register for the race.
  • Meagan will be breaking it up into two sessions (10 riders max per session) so each rider will have some individualized instruction.
  • Definitely bring your bike & helmet – this will be hands-on.
  • All skill levels are welcome.

Lodging

A small block of campsites at The Park has been reserved for racers (families & friends). Reserve early if you’d like to secure a site! For reservations, or more information, call the Campground directly at (606) 673-1492 and mention The Unbridled Adventure Race.
