THE BREAKDOWN EXPEDITION RACE – 4 DAY

We’re taking the race motto, “It ain’t supposed to be easy”, to a whole new level! FOUR days of incredible racing through the Grand Canyon of the South, superb mountain-line scenery, and the continuation of a tradition of pure, hard adventure. This course will truly be breathtaking (literally and metaphorically).

In the event these rules require further clarification, the standardized Adventure Racing World Series (ARWS) Rules of Competition will be referenced. All rules presented by 361 Adventures (in writing, or verbally) supersede all other rules.

USARA: As a regional qualifier for the 2017 National Championship, the top 4 Coed and the top 4 Open (all male or all female) teams will receive an invitation to the 2017 USARA Adventure Race National Championship (note that 3 person and 4 person divisions will be combined for qualifying purposes). Additionally, the top placing Coed team will receive USARA Regional Champion Jackets along with a $400 Regional Qualifier sponsorship applied towards their entry fee into the 2017 USARA Adventure Race National Championship. Teams from Regional Qualifying Events receive 10 additional USARA National Ranking Points as well. All racers will need to either be USARA members or purchase a one day membership for $8.

TRANSFER POLICY – Entrants changing divisions must notify us 30 days prior to race date. Entry cannot be guaranteed in the event extra team members are added. Additional fees must be paid at the current registration rate. No refunds or credits will be given in the event of transfers or changes to team.
In the event of severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the race start may be postponed or the course may be shortened. We reserve the right to alter, postpone, or cancel any race for safety concerns.
